MONTENEGRO
Montenegro is a small country along the Adriatic, located southeast of Croatia (with which is has a very short border) and northwest of Albania. Montenegro has interior borders with Bosnia-Herzegovina and Serbia. For about a decade after the dissolution of Yugoslavia, Montenegro remained partially aligned with Serbia, and the two former Yugoslav republics formed a single country called Serbia and Montenegro. Since 2006, Montenegro has been a fully independent country. Montenegro is slightly smaller than the U.S. state of Connecticut in land area, and is not quite a quarter the size of Croatia. It has the smallest population of the former Yugoslav republics, with about 625,000 people.
Montenegro has a handful of naturist entities, but it does not have a well-established naturist travel industry like neighboring Croatia. This article from the website NaturistHoliday.info is a good overview of naturism and naturist travel in Montenegro.
If the number of listings below seems rather meager, keep in mind that Montenegro's coastline is only about 150 kilometers long, and the entire coastal region can be traversed by car in just a few hours. Furthermore, in contrast to Croatia, Montenegro lacks any major islands. Many travelers visit Montenegro in conjunction with a trip to Croatia, and crossing the border is generally hassle free as long as you have a valid passport. Day tripping from Croatia is even a possibility since the Montenegrin border is just 35 kilometers south of Dubrovnik, the principal town in far southern Croatia.
